Why Choose the Communiversity?

The Communiversity at Surprise is a partnership of higher education institutions dedicated to providing students with the opportunity to continue their education and earn progressive degrees. Through the Communiversity at Surprise, students can pursue degrees in six educational pathways, all in one convenient location!

A number of educational programs are offered in a variety of course formats, including in-person, online and hybrid. Students are able to complete certificates, associate degrees, bachelor's degrees and master’s degrees through the partner institutions.

In addition, the Communiversity at Surprise offers many additional advantages to students:

Transfer Options

The community college partners have articulation agreements with university partners that allow students to exceed the normal 64 credit hours that can be transferred and applied to a bachelor's degree. For every bachelor's degree available through the Communiversity at Surprise, there is the potential to transfer 75-90 credits from a community college partner to a university partner.

Convenience

The Communiversity at Surprise is conveniently located in Surprise, Arizona, and provides Northwest Valley residents with access to a variety of higher education programs and services. So now you can stay close to home, easily transfer your credits from a community college partner to a university partner, and earn your degree!

Value

Students can save thousands of dollars while earning a bachelor’s degree through the Communiversity at Surprise, because tuition at community colleges can be up to 75% less than tuition rates at public and private universities.
